Patellar Instability - Orthopaedic Care - Sydney, NSW
What is Patellar Instability?
Patellar instability refers to the tendency of the kneecap (patella) to shift out of its normal alignment, often dislocating laterally. It may result from structural abnormalities, trauma, or weak supporting muscles. This condition can cause recurrent dislocations, pain, and a sense of giving way during movement. Treatment ranges from physical therapy to stabilising surgery, depending on severity and frequency.
