What is Patellar Tendinopathy?
Patellar tendinopathy, also known as jumper’s knee, is an overuse injury affecting the tendon connecting the kneecap (patella) to the shinbone. It is common in athletes who engage in jumping or running sports. Symptoms include pain just below the kneecap, especially during activity. Management includes activity modification, eccentric strengthening, physiotherapy, and shockwave therapy in chronic cases.
