What is Frozen Shoulder (Adhesive Capsulitis)?
Frozen shoulder is a condition marked by stiffness and pain in the shoulder joint due to inflammation and thickening of the joint capsule. It usually develops gradually and progresses through stages: freezing, frozen, and thawing. It can result from injury, surgery, or occur spontaneously, especially in individuals with diabetes. Treatment includes physiotherapy, anti-inflammatory medications, and occasionally joint injections or surgery.
