What is Hip Bursitis?
Hip bursitis is the inflammation of the bursae small fluid-filled sacs that cushion and reduce friction in the hip joint. The most commonly affected area is the greater trochanter, located on the outer part of the hip. This condition often results from repetitive motion, prolonged pressure, hip injury, or underlying issues like arthritis. Pain is usually felt on the outside of the hip and worsens with activity or pressure.
